What We're Funding

The Baker Home and School Club (H&SC) has estimated the potential for $80,000 in donations for the 2016-2017 school year. Programs we'll be funding include:

Media Center
Adds additional funding to support our library which is available to the Baker community, even the parents!

Playground and Yard Duty
During recess and lunch, we fund additional yard-duty to ensure our children have fun and safe interactions. We also fund a lunch-time activity program that provides structured and supervised activities.

Technology Enrichment
This year, we’re looking to further support the district's and MEF’s technology initiatives to further enhance our children’s classroom learning experience.

Field Trip Scholarships
We provide funds so that all students are able to participate in our wonderful grade-level field trips, including Science Camp, Sacramento, Monterey Bay Aquarium, and various local theater productions.

School-Run Programs
These include Art Vista, Math Olympiads, ABC Reader, Project Cornerstone, Literacy Day, Science Night, Destination Imagination and more.

Common Core
We'll be assisting the teachers and school in developing the Common Core program standards with additional supplies and materials.
Student Rewards
To highlight and support our children's academic enrichment and positive character development, the school has set up a number of rewards programs to celebrate their achievements.
We allocate funds to support assemblies that deal with academic enrichment and positive character building.
