State Testing Waived for the 2021 School Year

The U.S. Department of Education approved California’s waiver of accountability, school identification, related reporting requirements for the 2020-21 school year. Therefore, we will not be administering the SBAC or CAST assessments this school year. It is a requirement to assess students, in grades 3-8, using local assessments and provide that information to parents. We will be using and reporting our last round of Study Island benchmark assessment data in ELA and Math. The special education department is working out the assessment details for students who typically take the California Alternative Assessment. Individual scores will be sent home to parents at the end of the school year.
