Physical Fitness Testing (5th Grade only)

Physical Fitness Testing (5th Grade only)
During the window of February 5 - June 1, physical education teachers will conduct California’s physical fitness test, the FitnessGram, for students in grades 5 and 7. It assesses the 5 components listed in the California Physical Education standards. These components, aerobic capacity, flexibility, endurance, muscle strength, and body composition, will be assessed in a variety of ways including measuring height and weight. Teachers will discuss the importance of living a healthy and fit lifestyle. If you have any questions about the assessment, you can contact your child's PE teacher.
