Following the guidance from the California Department of Education, and in alignment with our neighboring elementary school districts, students will not receive grades on their assignments or on their report card. Their report card will show a mark of Credit or No Credit. It is the District's expectation that students are engaging in distance learning and completing the work that is assigned to them. If your child is having difficulties with distance learning, please reach out to your child's teacher(s) so we can offer support.

Each week our counselors will prepare SEL activities for each grade level. These can be found on the district and school webpage under Distance Learning or you can click on the title above for this week’s activities.

Enrollment for the Anderson State Preschool for the 2020-2021 school year opens in May. If you would like to be added to the waitlist for this program, please contact Sophia Brown at [email protected]. For Spanish, please contact Josie Arce at [email protected]. Each family must submit a completed waitlist form in order to be placed on the waitlist. The district office is open for limited hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm for families to drop off forms. We will begin contacting qualifying families at the end of May. We look forward to having your little one join us at the Anderson State Preschool!

An emergency housing hotline is open 7 days per week from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. for families in need of emergency housing. Families can contact this hotline for support by calling 408-278-6420.

As we launch formal distance learning this next week, your students will need the appropriate tools to do so. Very limited deployment times will be available at school sites if you missed the deployment windows. Please communicate directly with your child’s teacher about your technology needs.

If your student has a library book at home, please return it to the District Office. The District Office is open Monday - Friday from 9am - 12pm.

In an effort to enhance the at-home learning experience and maintain a face-to-face connection to school, students may participate in live online instruction or support using tools such as Zoom, Google Meet or other virtual conferencing tools. As we begin formal distance learning on April 13, we’ve created a webpage to support families with the tutorials of the online tools teachers will be using and resources on wellness, technology, and at-home activities. This can be found on the main page of the district and each school’s website. It will be periodically updated with new content as we progress through this new way of teaching and learning.
