Just as a reminder, due to our COVID protocol and public safety guidelines, we require a negative COVID test before students with any COVID symptoms can return to campus. Although we cannot accept over-the-counter tests, we can now accept rapid antigen tests and PCR tests. Unless a student has loss of taste or smell, then a PCR test is required.
We offer PCR testing at our Moreland District office on Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 8:00 am. There are also many testing locations where you can find PCR testing including the Santa Clara Fairgrounds, Grapefruit at Dartmouth Middle School, Carbon Health, Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, and your child's pediatrician. There are many other testing locations that offer PCR testing and we can accept those as well. Please do not send your child back to school until you have provided us with a negative test.
As always, even if students test negative for COVID, they should continue to stay home when ill and return when they have been fever free for 24 hours and symptoms have improved.

The Moreland School District is in the process of adopting a new Human Growth & Development curriculum for grade 5. In September 2021, Moreland formed a Human Growth and Development Task Force with teacher, parent, community member, and district office representation from across the district to review the California Health Education framework and standards, as well as the California Healthy Youth Act, as they align with curriculum adoptions. After the curriculum review process, the committee will come together to discuss each program and select one to recommend for adoption. This information can also be found on the district website.
