In lieu of class lists posted at school sites this year, all families can check their child’s teacher(s) on Aeries. Aeries also houses our Parent Portal 1st Day of School Information packet that needs to be completed by all families before September 17, 2021. Class lists/teachers will be posted on Aeries on Wednesday, August 18th at 4:00pm. To access Aeries and check classes/teacher assignments, click here > log-in > Student Info (left side column) > Profile .

To complete the Parent Portal emergency notifications and documents, you will see a pop up screen on the top (all schools except MMS) or bottom (MMS students only) right hand side of your screen notifying you that “You have not yet completed the Student Data Confirmation Process.” Click that box to complete the Parent Portal. You may also access the Student Data Confirmation process by clicking Student Info > Data Confirmation on the left-hand column.

You can get a jump start on completing your required first day packet. The annual First Day Packet will only be available online through Aeries Parent Portal now through mid-September. This online portal asks you to review emergency contact information, review required annual notifications, and check permissions for your student. After mid-September, parents can go into the office to update contact information.

If you have a returning student:
Your Aeries Portal log-in is the same as last year (parent email on file with the District). Simply click here to log-in: https://morelandsd.asp.aeries.net/student/LoginParent.aspx . If you don’t remember your password, click the “Forgot password” link to have a temporary one sent to your email.

If you have a new student:
You were automatically sent an email from Aeries Parent Portal from “[email protected]” when you enrolled your student(s) in the online enrollment system. Open that email and follow the instructions to log in to your Aeries Parent Portal account. If you cannot find this email in your Inbox, be sure to check your Spam/Junk folder as well. If you still don’t find it, please check with your child’s school site to confirm the email that is on file with the District.

It's open enrollment period for the 2021-2022 Moreland Extended Day program! Enrollment for Baker, Country Lane, EDS, Latimer, and Payne sites will begin at 9:00am May 10th and end on May 16th at 4:00 pm. TK-5th grade care is offered at all sites. In addition, 6th-8th grade care is provided at EDS and Latimer (serving both Latimer & MMS students). Spaces are limited and a lottery system will be used to place students in the Extended Day program. On June 1st, families will be notified about their child’s enrollment status. The County of Santa Clara stands in solidarity with the Indian/Indian-American community in the Bay Area as the COVID-19 crisis continues to devastate India. The County has information and resources to support community members impacted by the crisis. The County understands that many community members have assisted family and friends by facilitating their travel to the Bay Area to ensure their safety, as well as community members who have recently returned or are returning from travel to India for business or personal reasons. To read guidance to help reduce the spread of COVID-19, protect the health of the entire community, and provide support and resources to those who have traveled recently, click here. Although the US government is restricting travel from India as of May 4, 2021, this guidance applies to those who have recently arrived from India, as well as any travelers who are exempt from the travel restriction.

On Tuesday night, in the regular COVID update to the Board of Trustees, we presented the data about why Moreland will stay in the current Hybrid schedule for the rest of this school year. I welcome you to watch the video from the meeting to hear first hand all the information as to why we are staying the course, as well as what steps we are taking to open schools fully (five days a week, full days) in the fall if the Governor presents that as an option. Currently, 84% of our students have returned in-person, and merging cohorts would not allow us to continue to follow our approved plan of 4-6 feet distancing in the classrooms. We are allowing students from the Distance Learning Program to onboard to hybrid in-person instruction in both elementary and middle school. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this pandemic. As we see in other countries, the virus continues to be a significant issue. Our careful response at this time provides greater opportunity for students to be in school fully in the fall.
